STEP 1: CONSULTATION

Step 2: Injectable Session
During your treatment, your provider will check in to ensure you’re comfortable. Patients who are extremely sensitive to small injections may request numbing cream. For patients with anxiety regarding needles, our expert injectors can use many techniques to minimize discomfort.
Step 3: Minimal Downtime
There is minimal downtime with Dermapen® microneedling. Avoid direct sunlight, use of makeup, or vigorous exercise immediately after treatment.

How do dermal fillers work?

What can I expect during dermal filler treatment?
Injectable treatments typically last between 20-30 minutes, but sessions can extend up to an hour if multiple products are used or additional treatments are integrated. During the session, your provider will frequently check to ensure your comfort. For those sensitive to injections, numbing creams are available, and for those with needle anxiety, our skilled injectors employ techniques to significantly reduce discomfort.
Is there any downtime with dermal fillers?
You may experience some redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site, but this should dissipate within a few days. With any injection there is a possibility of bruising, but the likelihood of bruising is minimized thanks to our providers’ advanced injectable techniques. Our providers routinely use a specialized laser vein finder that visualizes each patient’s veins on the face to thereby avoid veins upon injecting. Moreover, we ensure to apply pressure and ice following injection to prevent bruising.
If you are concerned about the appearance of bruising, you can apply makeup over the area while it is healing. Ice packs may be used after treatment to help with the small amount of swelling that may occur.
You will be able to see the results of your filler treatment immediately. However, the full effects generally take a few days to two weeks for the filler to fully integrate with your natural tissue and for any residual swelling to subside. Results from dermal fillers typically last several months or longer, although this often varies depending on the type of filler used and the area injected.
