Treatment Steps
STEP 1: CONSULTATION
Start with a personalized consultation to discuss your goals. Your Aethos provider will assess your skin and guide you through the process so you’re well-educated and comfortable.
Step 2: Growth Factors Session
Your Aethos provider will draw a small blood sample, which spins in a centrifuge to separate it and isolate the portion that’s rich in platelets and growth factors. Your provider will inject the treatment into your scalp or skin, signaling the area to begin healing.
Step 3: Minimal Downtime
You may experience mild discomfort, swelling, or bruising for a few hours or days. Adverse reactions are extremely uncommon as the injectable is derived from your own blood. Most patients return to their usual activities immediately after treatment.
Growth Factors FAQs
How do Growth Factors work?
Growth Factors may be used to restore lost hair, reduce wrinkles, tighten sagging skin, diminish acne scars, and improve overall complexion. This treatment activates the growth factors in your body to signal cellular regrowth and production of collagen and elastin. These growth factors help promote natural hair regrowth and skin rejuvenation.
While these injections can be performed as their own treatment, it is often combined with other rejuvenation procedures, such as microneedling, to improve the results of the treatments and decrease their recovery time.
Growth Factors using fibrin, instead of plasma, are produced similarly, but have different processes to separate out components of blood. When fibrin Growth Factors are used, it’s injected into areas of the face where you want to add a natural boost of volume.
What can I expect during Growth Factors treatment?
During a session, your Aethos provider will draw a small blood sample. The blood spins in a centrifuge to separate it into its components and isolate the portion that is rich in platelets and growth factors. Your provider will then inject the treatment into your scalp or skin, signaling the area to begin healing. The entire procedure will last up to 30 minutes long. This treatment is great for hair restoration, skin rejuvenation, and easy to combine with laser light therapy to further encourage new hair growth.
Is there any downtime with Growth Factors?
Growth Factor injections require no downtime. You may experience mild discomfort, swelling, or bruising for a few hours or days. Adverse reactions are extremely uncommon since the injectable is derived from your own blood. Most patients can return to their usual activities immediately following their treatment.
